As we all know, the Drysdale family has been through the mill with the medical conditions of Anna and her sister. But, as we have been reporting, all has turned out superbly.
A few weeks back, Anna went to see the orthopaedic surgeon who had conducted her very first bone graft, about the break in her arm that she sustained whilst recovering from her specialist treatment in the USA. Although still fractured, there were thankfully signs of healing and Anna is now due back again sometime soon for further checks.
After her X-Rays, they gave her a teddy instead of the usual sticker. . . courtesy of Oxfordshire Freemasons TLC Scheme!
She just loves it and has named it ‘Daffodil’. In her father, Ian’s, words: “what a wonderful idea for kids in hospital”! Too right (with a big ‘thank you’ to Roger Hampshire and his team of volunteers – Ed.)!
