High Sheriff’s Tree Planting

To celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee The High Sheriff of Oxfordshire, Imam Monawar Hussain, MBE DL FRSA invited local dignitaries to join him in planting a tree to mark the special occasion. An invitation was extended to Oxfordshire Freemasons as recognition of their contributions to local charities, and in particular for organising and running the Panto Project for disadvantaged children. Our Deputy Provincial Grand Master, V.W.Bro Graham Ellis and his wife Maxine joined the planting ceremony and the Afternoon Tea that accompanied it.

Amongst those also in attendance were the Lord Mayor of Oxford, Mark Lygo , the Chair of Oxfordshire County Council, John Howson, representatives from the NHS, local magistrates and officers from the Thames Valley Police force.
