Now we are RO6. . . can we do a ceremony?

If all goes to plan with the Government’s strategy, from 17th May we will be able to meet again, but will be restricted to the Rule of Six, as in the latter part of last year. With a backlog of meetings, many lodges may want to consider holding a meeting with only 6, even if it isn’t, at first view, an attractive proposition. But how would they make it work – and can it work?

If this sounds like something your lodge is considering, then join us at 7.30 on Thursday 22nd April and you can ask us how to achieve a worthwhile and enjoyable ceremony under the restricted numbers.

Who are ‘we’? There will be a panel of 4: Chris Wagstaff, Paul Buck, Jonathan Williams and David Downing.

Temple Island Lodge carried out a passing in November under the Rule of 6, which was a huge success, so now is your chance to find out how it went and how they did it.

At that time, Chris Wagstaff was acting WM, Jonathan Williams the DC/SD/JD etc and David Downing the candidate. They are also doing a further passing under the RO6 on 17th May, so will be fine tuning everything so it works like clockwork.

Paul Buck, the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, will also be on hand on the 22nd April as the font of knowledge and also to advise on doing a first degree under the RO6.

Date for your diary: Thursday 22nd April at 7.30 PM
