Oxfordshire Light Blues

Our latest lecture on the History of Alfred Lodge No 340 (the oldest Lodge in Oxfordshire) by V. W. Bro Phillip Purves was very well received and we had a good number of Brethren attend via zoom and some really good questions. It was an interesting insight into the Lodge and the Oxfordshire Province itself.

The next Light Blues talk will  be ‘Masonic Aprons and Tracing Boards’ by W Bro Stephen Quant.
Masonic aprons and tracing boards date back from before the founding of the of the Premier Grand Lodge and are of great variety in both Craft masonry and across several other orders. The presenttaion will explain the origins and development of both items.

The Lights Blues would like to thank Bro Gavin McCoy (Provincial Communications Officer) for his generous donation of mics, stands and leads for use for the Light Blues podcasts.

The latest episode of the Oxfordshire Light Blues Podcast is out now featuring W Bro Alan Baverstock, Assistant Provincial Grand Master for Oxfordshire. We discuss how Alan first got involved in freemasonry, some of the other orders in which he isinvolved and what he has been up to in his role within the province.
