Rathcreedan Lodge No. 8690 makes plans!

Most provincial brethren know that Rathcreedan Lodge No. 8690 is a ‘Summer Lodge’.  All we need now is some summer (and your wish is my command – Ed!)

The Masonic Centre in Banbury has been closed for well over a year, but we are optimistic of it re-opening late June / early July.  To comply with the latest legislation, the Banbury Masonic Building Company are having an air exchange device fitted to circulate a volume of air within a prescribed timescale.  This equipment is being fitted at the moment and so, Rathcreedan Lodge is planning a first meeting for Tuesday 17th August.

This meeting will be a short, business style meeting consisting of the WM, Junior and Senior Wardens, Director of Ceremonies, Secretary, Almoner and Chaplain.

Depending on the current lockdown situation prevailing which, at the moment says ‘all legal limits on social contact will be removed’ we will extend the invitation to Rathcreedan Lodge members only.

For this meeting, there will be no festive board, but there will be the opportunity for members who haven’t seen each other (apart from Zoom) for 18 months to meet up over a cup of tea or coffee following the meeting.

If all goes according to plan, we are scheduling an Initiation Ceremony for our September 21 meeting.

Stay safe and healthy.

Kind regards all, sincerely & fraternally

W. Bro. Tony Lowe
